Brief
Nokia, through its range of Nseries mobile devices, has endorsed guerilla film making with its collaboration with Mobifilms. From this competition, the winning film makers were asked to showcase and share their experiences with the general public via the microsite. The objective is to convey the message that everybody has a story to tell, and with the Nseries video capabilities at hand, it’s easy to capture and share your own.

The Idea
An online platform was created around the theme, “Inspiration is all around”. Five film makers were chosen from Singapore, Bali, Bangkok and Philippines as spokespeople for this prioject. From the homepage on, it is totally interactive as the user navigates by simply clicking on the ambassadors. On their individual pages, the message “Inspiration Is All Around” is portrayed by encouraging the user to click on any of the highlighted objects in the film maker’s original environment. A video will show how these everyday objects or scenes can be a source of inspiration for a story. From then on, the user is led on a journey to experience the ease and fun of telling a story through video, by way of coaching from the ambassador.
150 videos were uploaded onto the microsite comprising interviews, work showcases, tips from the film makers as well as the FAQ section.

The Campaign Performance
The microsite received 21,743 visitors over the 3 ½ months that it was “live” (as of 16 Nov 2007). A total of 6,835 visitors watched the videos, or about 31.4% of the site visitors. In addition, 322 visitors used the “Share this video” form to notify their friends about the videos through an email.
