The Background
Executive Creative Director David Brown moved on from XM Asia Pacific after 2.5 years helming the creative department. Being an interactive agency, our team decided to bid him farewell in true digital spirit.
The Idea
So How Now David Brown was a different way of saying goodbye. More than a farewell gesture, it was our way of congratulating him on his new adventures he will embark on. Again in true digital style, we dubbed him David Brown 3.0 to send him off on his journey. And we invited colleagues to leave their thanks and messages via Facebook Connect. We also created a surprise tribute video which was shown to him on his last day.
The Effect
Word got out through Facebook sharing and posts which resulted in ex-colleagues and other friends leaving their messages to be part of this movement. Even people in the industry who did not know him personally also left their posts just to join in the fun.
